Butterfly Escape

So, I have another project that I did recently but I'm not convinced about the finished result.  It's missing something but I'm not sure what.

I would love any suggestions or thoughts.  I did the bamboo with my Sizzix and spritzed them with Walnut Ink and various embossing powders.  The postcards are from a lot I purchased on eBay last year.

It just needs something....

Thanks for looking and enjoy!

Terrific colours and loving your bamboo. Not sure about the postcards as they seem to dominate the card, unless you have a more precise image on top of them.........but hey what do I know..........lol Annette x

I love the colours and it looks wonderfully oriental. As for the missing piece ... the two parts do not really seem to be linked ... maybe you could find another image which makes the link between the postcards and the bamboo? Petra. x

Well, I have to jump in with my 2 cents, another post card slightly horizontal kind of toward the bamboo that says, Just A Note. Maybe that will spark something.

I agree with the others in that it seems unfocused - I would like a big something in the middle. An origami kimono would be lovely. Alternately, an animal in the oriental style would be nice.

Nice contrast of colors. I'd tie it together with a large Oriental knot out of gold or black cording!

I think it is beautiful! I think maybe an embellishment such as an I Ching gold coin, or a knotted cord (what do they call them, Mitsubishi or something!), or perhaps a large version of the butterflies across the middle, linking the pieces.

It's lovely so far! I think it just need an embellishment of sorts. A chinese coin, a panda, a kimono, anything like that to tie it together. I'm loving your blog so far. I think the robot card is great too! I've signed up as a follower and hope you will hop on over to visit me at http:\\wildfrogcreations.blogspot.com

This is lovely but I can see what you (and the others) mean. I think Lucy's idea is fab although I'm not sure a large car would be the answer, ha ha ha. xx

Ahahaha, Jack, I think you're right - a car would be a bit much.

Thanks everyone for all the suggestions - I'll have to do some brainstorming. I have some cord and coins and will see what I can do with those.
